What’s Included
Two nights’ accommodations in a queen bedroom with closet space, antique touches, and a fully-renovated private en suite bathroom at The Ames House.
All meals, including Friday + Saturday happy hour, Saturday lunch and dinner at local restaurants, and two light breakfasts at The Ames House.
Guided art classes and watercolor supplies to take home.
Curated activities such as a Fortuity Cellars wine tasting, downtown shopping, dining, and scavenger hunts, along with meaningful group conversations.
Takeaways: Your own watercolor painting, a personalized wine bottle with your own custom label, and an art book by Erin Oostra.

Erin Oostra is a Washington-based artist whose work is deeply inspired by her love of hiking, adventure, and the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Her impressionistic landscapes capture the feeling of being immersed in nature: calm, alive, and full of wonder.
Along with owning Nuwave Gallery in Ellensburg, Erin leads creative travel trips that combine art, exploration, and inspiration, encouraging others to reconnect with their own sense of adventure and creativity.

This weekend retreat will be hosted at The Ames House in Ellensburg, WA
The Ames House is where luxury meets small-town charm. Built in 1885 and lovingly restored, this home offers guests a peaceful and elegant place to stay, just steps from historic downtown Ellensburg with all it has to offer and Central Washington University. Every detail is designed to help you slow down, settle in, and feel truly at home.
Each room is uniquely styled with antique touches, private bathrooms, and modern comforts. Guests have the option of booking a room for 1, 2, or 3 guests. Price varies upon occupancy.

Weekend Schedule
All activities are included and completely optional. Join in for everything or take breaks whenever you need. Each experience is led by your host, Erin Oostra, and each location is within a 1 to 4 block walking distance from the other.

The group gathers for pizza and salad from BRIX, keeping the evening casual and relaxed.

Guests wind down with simple games, good conversations, and free time before heading to bed.

A gentle start to the morning with pastries, breakfast bowls, and coffee prepared by The Ames House.

The group strolls through downtown Ellensburg and ends at Nuwave Gallery. Each guest receives a scavenger-hunt-style bingo card of things to spot around town throughout the weekend; whoever completes it by Sunday wins a prize.

Erin leads a relaxed watercolor workshop at Nuwave Gallery where guests create their own custom wine labels.

A delicious break at one of Ellensburg’s favorite restaurants, just a block from Nuwave Gallery.

Guests can shop, nap, walk, explore town, or simply recharge; this time is all about the reset.

For anyone up for one more Ellensburg adventure, Erin leads an optional hike up her local favorite: Manastash Ridge.
This is not a part of the official programming and is due to shift based on weather.
