About Erin’s Custom Art:

Many collectors love buying art straight off the wall, but commissioning a custom painting allows you to get a piece created specifically for your home, style, and story.

There are many reasons people commission artwork from Pacific Northwest artist Erin Oostra. Sometimes you fall in love with a painting but the size does not work for your wall. Other times you may want to turn a favorite place, memory, or photograph into a meaningful piece of art. Interior designers also frequently commission custom artwork when a room calls for specific colors, scale, or visual balance.

Whatever your reason for commissioning a piece, having a clear idea of what you love is a great place to start. Sharing inspiration, colors, photos, or spaces helps guide the creative process and ensures the final artwork fits beautifully in your home.

Erin Oostra specializes in modern abstract paintings and contemporary landscape art inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Her abstract work is often designed to set the mood of a room with layered color, movement, and texture that complements a space without overwhelming it.

For collectors looking for something more connected to a place or memory, Erin also creates nature inspired impressionistic landscapes with modern elements. These contemporary landscape paintings are her most requested custom commissions and often reflect mountains, water, and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Art investment

The cost of commissioned artwork is determined by the size artwork you'd like me to create for you. Rates start at $1100 for a 16x20" and go up to $3000 for 48x60” master canvas. Below is a rough look at some of the most popular sizes but please reach out if you’ve got another size in mind:

A woman with blonde hair styled in a bun sits on a white surface, wearing a black turtleneck and paint-splattered overalls. She is surrounded by her artwork, which includes mountain landscape paintings in shades of black, white, and gray. She appears to be in an art studio or gallery, with art supplies like brushes and canvases visible in the foreground.
Price list chart comparing different canvas sizes, costs, and set options for images. The sizes range from 16x20 inches to 48x60 inches, with costs from $1100 to $3000. Set options include different pricing for buying multiple items.

Consider a set option such as a "triptych" or a "diptych" set for your home: a painting that continues across two or three separate canvases, giving the art a unique, exciting look and offered at a slight discount.
