Mount Adams, known by some Native American tribes as Pahto or Klickitat, is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range. Adams, named for President John Adams, is a member of the Cascade Volcanic Arc. The eastern side of the mountain is designated as part of the territory of the Yakama Nation.

Located in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is the gorgeous 5,344 ft Mt. Pilchuck. The Lushootseed (a Salish tribe language) name for the mountain is “bəlalgʷa”. Today, Mount Pilchuck's summit holds an old fire lookout tower, which is used as shelter for hikers.

The Stuart Range is a mountain range in central Washington, United States. Mount Stuart was given its name by George B. McClellan in September 1853 in honor of his oldest and best friend, "the late Capt. Jas. Stuart of the Rifles—a gallant soldier & accomplished gentleman."
As an artist coming from Seattle, my daily views used to be of Mt. Rainier. These days as I look out from the windows of my new home in Central Washington, I see the Stuart Range. The range lies within the eastern extent of the Cascade Range just southwest of Leavenworth. I’m reminded each time I see these majestic statues that with every move in life, there’s new beauty to enjoy around every corner + you never know where you might end up.

Mount Rainier, also known as Tahoma or Tacoma, is a large active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest. Modern descendants of the Native American people are represented by members of modern tribes that surround the mountain; including the Nisqually Indian Tribe, the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, among others in the area. Mount Adams, known by some Native American tribes as Pahto or Klickitat, is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range. Located in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is the gorgeous 5,344 ft Mt. Pilchuck. The Lushootseed (a Salish tribe language) name for the mountain is “bəlalgʷa”. Today, Mount Pilchuck's summit holds an old fire lookout tower, which is used as shelter for hikers.

The Stuart Range is a mountain range in central Washington, United States. Mount Stuart was given its name by George B. McClellan in September 1853 in honor of his oldest and best friend, "the late Capt. Jas. Stuart of the Rifles—a gallant soldier & accomplished gentleman."
As an artist coming from Seattle, my daily views used to be of Mt. Rainier. These days as I look out from the windows of my new home in Central Washington, I see the Stuart Range. The range lies within the eastern extent of the Cascade Range just southwest of Leavenworth. I’m reminded each time I see these majestic statues that with every move in life, there’s new beauty to enjoy around every corner + you never know where you might end up.

Mount Rainier, also known as Tahoma or Tacoma, is a large active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest. Modern descendants of the Native American people are represented by members of modern tribes that surround the mountain; including the Nisqually Indian Tribe, the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, among others in the area.
