So… how does it work?

When you invite Erin to your event, your guests will witness her create a Pacific Northwest-inspired masterpiece in real-time.

This distinctive offering guarantees that patrons can bid on the artwork, allowing them to bring home more than just memories but also a chance to bid on a physical work of art to remember the noteworthy occasion, raising money for your cause at the same time.

The Process

1. Reach out

Sounds like what you’re looking for? Reach out via the form at the bottom of this page and let me know about you and your event (occasion, location, date, time). Erin takes on events at most Washington State locations.

2. Let’s chat

Erin will respond as soon as possible with availability and rates based on the size of the event and the artwork you are interested in (rough pricing graph below). Together, you will decide on the color and art style you are looking for (to see more examples, check out her Instagram feed: @erinoostra or my portfolio)

3. Green light

Contracts will be written and upon digital signature, half of the payment will be required. The remaining half will be charged the day of the event. This will all be paid online via emailed invoices from Quickbooks and can be paid with a credit card, PayPal, or direct deposit.

4. The event

For the event, Erin will arrive 1 hour before set up unless otherwise discussed. She will bring an easel, a folding table, a drop cloth, and my painting tools.

5. Finalization

Erin will paint throughout the event. Depending on the piece and style chosen, she will finish the artwork onsite in whatever timeframe is agreed upon and the artwork will be able to go home with the purchaser or bid winner (should it be an auction event).

Gala Live Painting Rates

The cost of live-event-painting service is determined by the size of the artwork you'd like created at your event. Full-price start at $900 for a 16x20" and go up to $2600 for 48x60” master canvas. These investment costs are all-inclusive of the experience and artwork.

You will receive the exclusive nonprofit offer of 50% off for your event.

As a bonus donation: Fundraisers are also exempt from Erin Oostra’s travel fees.

  • Not much! Just connect me with your event planner and I'll do the rest.

  • No! I use acrylic paints which are odorless.

  • 1 to 3 months is ideal. Contact me about my availability regardless!

  • The cost of my live event painting service is determined by the size of the artwork you'd like me to create for you.

  • No; due to the specificity of framing, it’s best to have it done by the artwork owner so they can match it to their current decor.

  • I will send a digital invoice via email and charge your credit card via Stripe. It is safe, easy, and secure.

  • Short answer: no. I usually paint the surrounding scenery, something abstract, or a PNW-related landscape. I love to capture the colors, mood, and beauty of the day in a modern and inspiring way rather than painting a specific scene. This way the image is more likely to endure the test of time in style and beauty. Feel free to scroll through my Instagram feed for inspiration!

  • 50% is required up front to book a live painting event. If you need to cancel within 4 weeks of the event, please note that part of that 50% reservation deposit is a $250 non-refundable deposit.

  • Live Painting Events taking place more than 50 miles from my studio in Ellensburg, WA are subject to a travel fee depending on venue location and if an overnight stay is required.

  • To reschedule or cancel a Live Event Painting reservation, advance notice is a must. For all events, cancellations made 8 weeks prior to the event date will receive a full refund less the non-refundable $250 deposit. If less than 4 weeks’ notice of cancellation is given, a 50% refund will be given less the deposit. Cancellations made less than 3 weeks prior to the scheduled event, will be charged in full.
