Colorado Live Painting

When hired, I will perform a live painting session on-site during your celebration! Whether it's a corporate event, wedding, family reunion, or graduation the painting will come to life as the party unfolds. You and your guests will create memories as I create landscape-inspired impressionistic art before your eyes that you get to keep to remember the evening for years to come!

Live event painting is what will make your next celebration stand out! 

I'm known for creating impressionistic scenes inspired by the local landscape with a modern twist, as showcased here. This style is hugely popular for live event painting. Typically, I'll paint the event's surroundings or work from a landscape image that you love.

The Process

1. Reach Out

Looking for a live painter for your wedding, celebration, or special event? Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and tell me a little about you and your event, including the occasion, location, date, and time. Based in Colorado, I offer live event painting and live wedding painting throughout the state and travel nationwide and internationally for destination events. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance from my studio in Milliken, CO.

2. Let’s Chat

I’ll get back to you with availability and a custom quote based on the size of your event and the artwork you have in mind. We’ll discuss the painting style, color palette, and overall feel you’re envisioning, whether you’re looking for an impressionistic landscape, an abstract painting, or a more personalized scene from your celebration. 3. Green Light

Once we’ve settled on the details, I’ll send over a contract for digital signature. A 50% deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due on the day of the event before painting begins.

4. The Event

I’ll arrive approximately one hour before the event to set up, unless we’ve discussed otherwise. I’ll bring everything needed for the live painting experience, including my easel, folding table, drop cloth, and painting supplies. Then the painting begins. As your celebration unfolds, I’ll capture the atmosphere, people, setting, and meaningful moments of the day in an original piece of artwork created right before your guests’ eyes.

5. Finalization

I’ll paint throughout your event, bringing the artwork to life as the celebration unfolds. Depending on the piece and style selected, I may be able to complete the live event painting that evening so you can take it home right away. If additional detailing or drying time is needed, I’ll finish the piece within the following week and coordinate delivery or pickup with you. The result is a one-of-a-kind painting that allows you to relive your celebration for years to come.

Colorado Live Painting Rates

My live event painting service cost depends on the size of the artwork you'd like me to create. Rates start at $900 for a 16x20" and go up to $2600 for a 48x60” master canvas and are all-inclusive, other than if an overnight stay is required depending on the venue location. Below is a rough look at some different sizes and prices:

  • Not much! Just connect me with your event planner and I'll do the rest.

  • No! I use acrylic paints which are odorless.

  • 1 to 3 months is ideal. Contact me about my availability regardless!

  • The cost of my live event painting service is determined by the size of the artwork you'd like me to create for you.

  • No; due to the specificity of framing, it’s best to have it done by the artwork owner so they can match it to their current decor.

  • I will send a digital invoice via email and charge your credit card via Stripe. It is safe, easy, and secure.

  • Short answer: no. I usually paint the surrounding scenery, something abstract, or a PNW-related landscape. I love to capture the colors, mood, and beauty of the day in a modern and inspiring way rather than painting a specific scene. This way the image is more likely to endure the test of time in style and beauty. Feel free to scroll through my Instagram feed for inspiration!

  • 50% is required up front to book a live painting event. If you need to cancel within 4 weeks of the event, please note that part of that 50% reservation deposit is a $250 non-refundable deposit.

  • Live Painting Events taking place more than 50 miles from my studio in Milliken, CO are subject to a travel fee depending on venue location and if an overnight stay is required.

  • To reschedule or cancel a Live Event Painting reservation, advance notice is a must. For all events, cancellations made 8 weeks prior to the event date will receive a full refund less the non-refundable $250 deposit. If less than 4 weeks’ notice of cancellation is given, a 50% refund will be given less the deposit. Cancellations made less than 3 weeks prior to the scheduled event, will be charged in full.
